This Privacy Policy explains how OrderSignal collects, uses, stores, and protects information when restaurants, staff, managers, and table customers use the OrderSignal platform, including the OrderSignal Employee App, OrderSignal Customer App, OrderSignal Admin App, and related website or testing links.
OrderSignal collects the information needed to operate the restaurant service system. This may include:
Customers using the table-side experience are not required to create an account just to browse a menu, submit a table order, send a service request, or signal that they are ready to pay.
OrderSignal uses collected information to:
OrderSignal does not use restaurant or customer table data for unrelated advertising purposes.
OrderSignal does not sell restaurant data, customer table data, or operational data to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
Restaurant data is intended to remain within the restaurant organization that created or controls it. Access may be limited based on role, such as staff, manager, admin, or customer/table session access.
OrderSignal may use third-party service providers, such as cloud hosting, database, authentication, analytics, testing, or infrastructure providers, to operate the platform. These providers are used to support the functionality of OrderSignal and are not permitted to use the data for their own unrelated advertising purposes.
OrderSignal may use Firebase or similar cloud infrastructure to store and synchronize restaurant data across devices in real time. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration.
No internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Restaurants should maintain their own operational procedures and verify important service information before acting on it.
OrderSignal may retain restaurant, table, order, message, and service log data for as long as needed to operate the platform, provide support, maintain business records, improve the service, or comply with applicable requirements.
During early access or testing, some data may be retained for troubleshooting, debugging, product improvement, and support. Restaurants may request deletion of account or business data by contacting us at the address below.
Restaurants are responsible for how they configure menus, locations, table access, staff access, customer-facing usage, pricing, availability, and fulfillment workflows within OrderSignal. OrderSignal provides communication, table visibility, ordering, and operational tools; restaurants remain responsible for verifying orders, prices, menu availability, customer requests, and fulfillment before acting on them.
Customers using the table-side interface may submit orders, messages, service requests, or ready-to-pay signals to the restaurant. These interactions may be visible to restaurant staff, managers, or administrators connected to that restaurant location.
OrderSignal is not currently a payment processor or point-of-sale system. Payment handling, billing, refunds, and final order fulfillment remain the responsibility of the restaurant unless otherwise stated in a separate agreement.
Restaurants and users may contact OrderSignal to request access, correction, or deletion of account or business data. We may need to verify the request before processing it.
For privacy questions, access requests, correction requests, or deletion requests, contact: privacy@ordersignal.app
OrderSignal is intended for use by restaurants, staff, managers, and table customers in a restaurant setting. It is not directed toward children as a standalone consumer service. Restaurants are responsible for supervising customer-facing use in their own locations.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as OrderSignal develops. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify participating restaurants or users.

OrderSignal is currently in early access. The product may contain bugs, unfinished features, temporary limitations, or behavior that changes over time. By using OrderSignal during this period, you understand that you are participating in an early-stage product and that features may be modified, added, or removed as the platform develops.
OrderSignal is intended to support restaurant operations by improving table visibility, customer communication, order awareness, service logs, and manager review. It is not a replacement for trained staff, restaurant judgment, or existing operational procedures.
OrderSignal does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free service. Internet access, cloud services, devices, third-party platforms, and testing builds may experience downtime or technical issues. Restaurants should maintain fallback procedures for service operations.
Restaurants are responsible for verifying orders, prices, menu availability, customer requests, table status, payment readiness, and fulfillment before acting on them. OrderSignal is a communication and management tool, not a final authority on restaurant operations.
OrderSignal is not currently a payment processor or point-of-sale system. The platform may help communicate that a table is ready to pay, but payment collection, billing, refunds, taxes, receipts, and final transaction processing remain the responsibility of the restaurant and its existing systems.
Some OrderSignal apps may be distributed through TestFlight, Android testing links, Expo/EAS builds, or similar testing platforms. These builds are intended for testing and feedback and may not represent a final production release.
Features, pricing, supported platforms, app names, workflows, and functionality may change over time as OrderSignal evolves. We will communicate significant changes to restaurants actively testing or using the platform where appropriate.
Restaurants are responsible for configuring their own organization, locations, menus, tables, staff access, customer-facing use, and operational procedures. Restaurants are also responsible for complying with laws, regulations, food service requirements, tax obligations, employment rules, and customer service policies that apply to their business.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, bug reports, or feature ideas, you allow OrderSignal to use that feedback to improve the product without obligation to compensate you, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
